The Magician Doesn’t Beat Around The Bush When Saying Your Words Create Your Reality
Whether you like it or not, your words and thoughts create what you are dealing with, now.
I never wanted to accept for a long time that your words and thoughts shape your reality, but it is true.
I wanted to think it was all some woo-woo bullshit, but it is not. And you can see the connection between that and the Magician tarot card.
The Magician is the first card of the tarot's Major Arcana.
It represents manifestation, skills, capabilities, and resources and reminds you that you can do anything. Mercury is the planet associated with the Magician. But they need to learn to tap into it.
The Magician tarot card is a symbol of power and creativity. Magician symbols often represent the ability to manifest one's desires and goals in life.
The tarot card indicates that it is time for you to take action and actively move toward the life you want. It can also signify that it is time to pursue a goal or dream that has been nagging at you lately.
The Magician tarot card often represents a power that one holds within oneself and indicates the ability to manifest one's strength. It is also a sign of change, transformation, and new beginnings.
When you see the Magician in tarot readings, it often represents the highest point you have reached so far on your spiritual path. When the card comes up, it indicates that you have complete control over your life's direction.
Additionally, the card can warn you not to waste energy pursuing fantasies or illusions that will not come true. It may also signify reaching a critical crossroads in your life, where you must decide what direction to take.
Finally, you can see it is a message from the divine that certain things have been completed and are a time for new beginnings.
That is because the Magician also represents balance, wisdom, and knowledge. Know that you have what it takes to accomplish your goals and dreams.
Another thing that the Magician can indicate is that you are working on a new project or purpose in your life now.
Additionally, it often represents a balance between the physical and spiritual worlds.
Finally, the card brings a message to encourage you to seek guidance from those who have been on a similar path as you for some time now.
The Magician exists in your daily life as people who motivates, inspires, and instills a passion for life within you. You can see the symbols as messages from the divine encouraging you to take chances on something new, test limits, and reach for the stars.
They are messages of encouragement to take action in your life now as they can signify that you are being called upon to try something new, even if it is initially uncomfortable.
Magician symbols indicate that balance between the different parts of your life is necessary. Additionally, there is truth that your words and thoughts do shape your life.
The Way You Think and Speak Impacts Your Reality
I never wanted to believe this, but I do see how the words you speak and the things you think do shape your reality.
I am a realistic person, and I will never subscribe to toxic positivity or toxic spirituality.
However, your words will impact your thoughts, affecting your actions and shaping your reality. You want to live authentically.
You cannot fake being positive when life is throwing one curveball at you and look for the "blessing" in it (because there are none, sometimes shit happens for no reason).
However, what you need to do in troubling situations is be creative and practical.
For example, suppose you are a freelancer, meaning your income is unstable, and you are dealing with one expense after another on top of the inflation you have to face while you are not getting much of a raise.
In that case, it will be easy to tell yourself that you will keep struggling financially.
It is pretty discouraging when you have an unexpected home repair, then a car repair, and on top of that, you lose a freelancing client, which is stressing you out to the point that you will throw up your arms and say, "I am destined to struggle financially!"
The more you tell yourself that you will keep struggling financially, the more you will think about and believe it.
Therefore, you will keep struggling financially and keep yourself in debt. You will stay in the vicious cycle because that is your shaping reality.
But here is the thing. It does not have to be that way.
Instead of telling yourself that you are destined to struggle financially while dealing with these never-ending expenses on top of facing inflation, you can tell yourself that you will find a way to keep yourself afloat while facing these temporary struggles.
You will say, "It sucks right now, but I can figure out how to stay afloat despite the situation."
The more you tell yourself that, the more you will be in creative mode, encouraging you to look for side hustles to help you cope.
You may look for new clients, but if you don't, you can find other ways to make money, such as doing surveys, working for Instacart or Doordash, or looking for odd jobs on Reddit.
Either way, you will create ways to stay afloat and even profit if you tell yourself you will find ways to figure things out while facing financial obstacles. That is the Magician.
Your words affect your thoughts, which affect your actions and shape your reality. Now, let’s dig deep and discuss the Magician’s related cards.
Magician’s Related Cards
Mercury is the first major planet connected with the Magician. Mercury rules the two signs, Gemini and Virgo. Gemini governs the Lovers in the zodiac, while Virgo rules the Hermit.
The Magician decodes written words, performs verbal magic, and acts as a psychopomp to unlock choices in the Hermit.
In addition, Mercury rules five of the 36 decans as he rules the ability to do some problem-solving when faced with the Five of Pentacles (Mercury in Taurus).
Think about when you are dealing with too many damn expenses to the point it is leaving you almost penniless. You need to devise a way to cover that so you don't end up in a hole.
As the Three of Cups (Mercury in Cancer), he rules the simplicity of communication as this is the card that rules shmoozing among your friends as you have a good time, probably gossiping about crap and all.
He rules swiftness, smoothness, travel, and flashes of insight as in the Eight of Wands (Mercury in Sagittarius). Six of Swords (Mercury in Aquarius), he rules resourceful problem-solving.
In the Eight, Nine, and Ten of Swords (all Gemini), he expresses how the mind computes things, as you believe you are trapped with the Eight of Swords (and how will you get yourself out of this mind rut?).
You get into an anxious rut in the Nine (and how can you find a way to calm down so you can think logically about the situation), and then you realize it’s all over with the Ten (and what do you do about it going from there?).
Using the Eight, Nine, and Ten of Pentacles, Virgo cards, he becomes a work in progress and uses practicality in his work (Eight) to reap the rewards and stay motivated to keep working (Nine).
Then, he has enough money and possessions through his hard work to leave to the next generation (Ten).
The Magician's number is one. The Sun is one (19/1), and the Wheel of Fortune is one (10/1). These cards share a close relationship and speak to the questions of individualism and fate.
Next week, I will cover the High Priestess, and the connection will be a surprise! Stay tuned for another podcast episode of The Tarot Table on Friday.
