Tarot is an excellent tool for working with mental health issues because of its inherent flexibility. In addition, Tarot is a tool for learning about yourself, your past, present, and future, which can help you uncover patterns that are causing you distress.
Is it a valuable tarot for mental health? Definitely! However, how does using a deck of 78 cards improve my mental health? Here is an exhaustive list of all the ways the Tarot can enhance your mental health!
Tarot Is A Self-Care Practice
When I sit with a client, we use a deck that they feel comfortable with, and then we look at cards to figure out what their day will be like or where they are at this moment. I do not prescribe the cards but rather let them choose what they want from the deck, and then we interpret from there. For example, there is a possibility that a client will lay down a card and say, "this is me" or "this isn't me," which means that the card has come to represent their innermost desires and fears about themselves, an aspect of themselves that they don't understand or want to admit. Using this card, we can then discuss these issues.
For example, if someone is afraid of being alone, we may pull the Five of Cups, representing loss and disappointment. They should tell me what recently has been lost in their life, what disappointments they have faced, and what the root of their fear might be. It can lead to a better understanding of yourself and why you feel the way you do, which will help you make better life choices.

You Can Use Tarot to Understand Your Past, Present, And Future.
The Tarot cards represent your innermost desires and fears and the parts of your personality that you do not understand. They shed light on the different experiences you have had in your life and how those experiences have shaped who you are as a person.
Tarot helped me discover things about myself that I didn't even know existed, and now I have a deeper understanding. Tarot becomes self-fulfilling as soon as you start learning it. Over time, your "inner voice" will begin to comment on cards as they come up in spreads; "this represents your goals for the year" or "this is your future spouse." You will begin to relate to the cards more personally and gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
Understanding Your Relationship With Others Is Easier With Tarot.
Although Tarot cards have different meanings in different decks, most tend to represent people in your life or concepts outside of yourself. As an example, the Queen of Wands could be your boss, girlfriend, or best friend. While this may seem like common sense, it can be helpful when you're having trouble with someone in your life.
Tarot Readings Can Help You See Your Life Path More Clearly
Tarot cards show you what you want and give insights into the obstacles you will face and how to overcome them. For example, you could draw a card like the Tower, representing betrayal, sudden change, or upheaval; basically, anything that fate throws at you to test your resolve. You will also learn how to handle those pitfalls and overcome unexpected changes that life brings your way, which can help you deal with change as it comes or even helps you avoid it altogether if you know what your cards say about your life path.
Tarot Will Make You Slow Down And Appreciate The Moment
Take some time out of your day to enjoy yourself when you sit on a deck—no need to solve anything or do anything in particular. Relax for a few minutes and be happy that you can enjoy some quiet time with yourself.
You, Will, Develop Your Intuition Through Tarot
The more you sit with a deck, the more in tune with it and yourself you become, which eventually leads to a greater sense of awareness and insight into what is happening or is about to happen in your life. But there's also something very magical about the first time you pull a card, and it seems to be about whatever is going on with you at that time.
The Tarot Can Help You Stay Focused
You will see if your behavior matches what you want or if you are being held back by fear, anger, or insecurity. You will realize some things, clear your mind, and find the motivation to make the changes you need to make when you let them "talk to you." You will also make better decisions when you let them "talk to you."
Tarot Can Help You Navigate Unknown Territory And Make Difficult Decisions
You won't get answers to all your questions from the cards, but they might point you in the right direction by showing you different perspectives or how other people view the situation. It can help you make more complex decisions and do so confidently.
Whenever you feel your mental health is suffering, it's essential to figure out what may be causing it. Tarot helps with this process through my own experience of using a deck of cards as an oracle for guidance and self-discovery.
